The Power Of The Internet For Your Home Business By Terry Gorry Last week I sold a blog.And I got a nice return on the relatively short time it took to put together. But the striking aspect of the transaction is that my buyer is in New Zealand, I live in a small island(Ireland) in the middle of the Atlantic on the periphery of Western Europe and the content of the site was aimed at people living in the southern states of the United States. These facts brought a wry smile to my face and a growing realization of the power of the internet.The internet and the opportunity to start a small home business, with unlimited potential and the opportunity to scale it up, meant that I was no longer restricted by the space or location that I happened to be born in. The sense of power and freedom that this thought brings frees me from the confines of a small place with a small population in a big world.The opportunity to do it again and again and sell my goods or services across the internet to a limitless global market is a true indicator of the true power of the internet. Not since Guthenberg invented the printing press has one medium or platform offered so much potential and power for ordinary people to liberate themselves and start their own business working from home. Don't get me wrong-starting and running a successful business online is not as easy as you might think..and you do have to work at it.But the opportunities are there in our living room or wherever you keep your computer and are truly limitless. For anyone in a dead end job, for work at home moms restricted by the responsibilities of taking care of children, for anyone, you included, the power of the internet is an opportunity waiting to be grasped and exploited. And maybe it will set you free also from the accident of geography which placed you where you are now.
